8th Annual Christmas Luncheon & Fashion Show

"The Holiday Inn, Kanata was abuzz on November 13th.  It was a sunny Sunday afternoon with a sold out crowd of ladies who enjoyed a delicious lunch, participated in a silent auction and were entertained by 8 volunteer models outfitted Act II. Kanata. 

They enjoyed a great meal, viewing some lovely and fun fashion, shopping Act II accessories and bidding on  over 80 different silent auction offerings. After the fashion show was over, the attendees also had the opportunity to purchase the clothes and accessories that had been modeled – which was well received indeed!

The event was a huge success, not only in raising funds, but also in increasing awareness about what we at Friends of Hospice Ottawa do on a daily basis to serve the needs of people dealing with life-threatening illnesses.

This year’s event was one of our most successful fashion shows as we raised just over $9,100. We are grateful to the companies and individuals who donated items for the silent auction and to Act II fashions for being such a great partner in this annual event. Volunteers, models, staff… so many people behind the scenes to thank, too numerous to mention, but a great team led to the success of the day."
