Cathy Allison, Friends of Hospice Ottawa volunteer receives Civic Recognition from City of Ottawa

Cathy Allison,(fourth from left) Friends of Hospice Ottawa volunteer was recently honoured by The City of Ottawa for her valued contribution to the city’s quality of life. Deputy Mayor Diane Deans and members of City Council presented Civic Appreciation Awards and recognition to over 100 individuals and organizations across Ottawa.  "Tonight's award nominees and recipients are a wonderful example of what it means to be a volunteer", said Deputy Mayor Diane Deans. "Volunteers make a significant difference not only by enhancing the lives of others, but by making our city a better place to live."
